From October 04-07, project members of the TU Dresden welcomed their guests for a project meeting. The meeting took place hybrid, so that participation was also possible online. Together, numerous project-relevant topics were discussed, such as the implementation and sustainability of the developed educational modules, their further development and editing, but also questions regarding final and financial reports, and much more.
Furthermore, we took a field trip to the Königstein Fortress in Saxon Switzerland and went back to Dresden by paddle steamer. Finally, we participated together in this year’s GENEME 2022 conference and held an open meeting.
Andreas Dürrschmidt & Christian Müller published a collaborative research paper titled ‘Collaborative Learning in the Context of International Educational Cooperation Using the Example of the EU Project “CONTESSA”’. The paper was published on DGfE-Kongress 2021 in Dresden.
The University of Cambodia hosted the final CONTESSA conference in Cambodia. Welcoming remarks were made by Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, the President of UC and Dr. Sam-Ang Sam, the Chancellor of PUC. Afterwards, Mr. Bryan Fornari, Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation, discussed education and the importance of the cooperation between the EU and Cambodia. Project members including Prof. Meas Nearyroth (PUC), Dr. Angus D. Munro (UC), Dr. Thomas Köhler (TUD) and Mr. Orkhan Jalilov (TUD) discussed various aspects of the project such as the overview and development of the project and the joint efforts towards pedagogical professionalization. Members of the Ministry of Education and the Siem Reap Regional Teacher Education Center also spoke about the collaboration beyond just the partner universities.
Train-the-Trainer Workshops were held at the Siem Reap Regional Teacher Training College in Cambodia. The partnership was organized by colleagues at PUC and UC. We are very excited to have this college on board!
