The Train-the-Trainer workshops were held over three days in both Sri Lanka (June 30 – July 2, 2021) and Cambodia (June 23 – 25, 2021).

Day 1: On this day, the Train the Trainer program was introduced through OPAL Learning Management System, including the building blocks of the program and the details of the CONTESSA modules.

Day 2: On day two, participants reflected on and further developed their professional roles. Participants enhanced their knowledge on teaching strategies and gained information on career pathways for teaching professionals.

Day 3: Day three aimed at raising awareness of the power of mentoring as a means of providing mutual support for (future) teaching professionals. It empowered participants to identify and apply adequate modes of mentoring in their professional/institutional contexts.

An add-on module, which could be completed independently, dealt with cross-national perspectives of teacher education.

"The CONTESSA TTT workshops were like a beautiful rain after a long drought. Although everyone was aware about the professional development practices and mentoring as theoretical foundations, the workshop approach which was appreciated by all was helpful to operationalise these concepts and accommodate into one's practice." – Sri Lankan Participant
