CONTESSA and the Train-the-Trainer program were presented at the Work2021-Conference in Turku, Finland. Andreas Dürrschmidt from the Chair of Adult Education and Continuing Vocational Education at Dresden University of Technology (TUD) was happy to contribute to the conference´s overall topic “Work Beyond Crises”. The presentation dealt with the challenges of education programs that strongly rely on synchronous and collaborative learning formats. Context was the organization and implementation of the Train-the-Trainer workshops in Cambodia and Sri Lanka, which could – due to travel restrictions – not be held in a conventional face-to-face format. TUD was happy to share strategies in creating interactive distant learning scenarios and to pass on the techniques and resources used to implement this program taking into account the perspectives and the needs of teaching professionals under the given conditions in both Asian countries.
