Ms. Samadara Amarasinghe and Mr. Igala Gamage Chinthaka Chandrakumara​ will present CONTESSA at the 7th International Research Conference on Humanities & Social Sciences (IRCHSS 2021) which will be held on March 18th and 19th, 2021 at Waters Edge Colombo, Sri Lanka with their presentations.

Annual Research Symposium 2020, DECEMBER 18, 2020

Prof. Manjula Vithanapathirana presented her submission titled: “E-readiness and Techno-anxiety of postgraduate teacher trainees: Exploring the psychological climate for introducing Blended Learning through CONTESSA project” at the Annual Research Symposium 2020, Faculty of Education, the University of Colombo on the 18th December 2020.

DAAD CONFERENCE, OCTOBER 29-30, 2020

The University of Graz and University of Colombo presented CONTESSA at the DAAD Conference. It was an online conference ‘Connecting Germany and South Asia – Fostering Partnerships in Higher Education.’ It was the first-ever online meeting to bring together the stakeholders of all DAAD-funded cooperation projects organized by DAAD India to celebrate the 60th Anniversary aimed at facilitating cross-learning and future collaborations. 100-125 people participated.

GENEME 2020, OCTOBER 7-9, 2020

Thomas Köhler, Orkhan Jalilov, Manjula Vithanapathirana, Shironica P. Karunanayaka, Sandra Hummel, Bridget Sheehan presented CONTESSA at the 23th annual conference GeNeMe on “Communities in New Media” in Dresden with their submission entitles, “EduTech Implementation in a global higher education network. Empirical data from a field study in South Asia”.

HICEDUCATION 2020, JANUARY 4 – 7, 2020

Sandra Bohlinger presented CONTESSA at the 18th annual Hawaii International Conference on Education in Honolulu with her submission entitles, “Reforming teacher education by means of learner-centered pedagogy: The case of Cambodia” The goal of the conference was for education professionals around the world to “share their broad array of knowledge and perspectives.”

WHOLE PERSON EDUCATION ACADEMY CONFERENCE

The conference brought Cambodian teachers together to discuss pedagogy. Prof. Meas Nearyroth, a CONTESSA project member from the Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia, spoke about CONTESSA and the impact it will have on the field of teaching in Cambodia and how others can get involved.

ERASMUS+ CBHE MEETING HELD AT NATIONAL INSTITUTUTE OF EDUCATION IN PHNOM PENH

Travis Mitchell, a CONTESSA project member from the University of Cambodia, presented CONTESSA to a group of 90 participants, most of whom were senior officials from the central Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) and the rectors and representatives of public and private universities and higher education institutions. The meeting was led by H.E Dr. HANG Choun Naron, Minister of MoEYS and H.E George Edgar, Ambassador of the European Union to Cambodia.
